Careers at Casa Novo

  • We are looking for an FF&E Designer to join our team. This role will be based in our Mumbai office and will be responsible for managing multiple projects in lock-step with the Interior Design team.

    ​

    The suitable candidate must be a creative and talented designer with strong design flair and passion for interior finishing, fabrics and materials, artwork, furniture and lighting. Additionally, to be able to manage administrative tasks related to FFE during the Design Development stage.  A minimum of 5-6 years experience working on luxury high-end residential and hospitality projects is required.

    Resposibilities

    Design

    1. Undertake rich, deep, fact-based research to develop concepts

    2. Create beautiful mood boards, concept boards and layout plans using InDesign and Autocad.

    3. Create beautiful softcopy elevations and material boards, aided by Photoshop

    4. Source & Select materials and creation of physical material boards

    5. Design custom furniture pieces in CAD. 

    Design Development

    1. Liaise with international and local vendors in sourcing for soft & hard materials

    2. Generate full FF&E budgets, schedules and specifications in Excel form

    3. Produce specifications for all FFE items

    Procurement

    1. Generate detailed procurement budget and delivery schedule including lead times

    2. Oversee purchase orders, negotiation, coordination and liaison with international suppliers

    3. Verify orders and liaise with concerned departments for payment

    4. Be responsible for overall timelines for ordering, production/fabrication and delivery in conjunction with project’s timelines

    Tender

    1. Be responsible for all FFE related tender drawings (details for custom FFE)

    2. Liaise with local contractors on mock up productions for furniture mock ups

    3. Generate full specification books for all items

    Construction Administration 

    1. Custom FFE
      o Check shop drawings, change / comment / improve
      o Visit local and/or international fabricators to oversee production

    2. Take delivery of items at site, to organize unpacking for checking of items on arrival

    3. Place, arrange and style site with all FFE and accessories

    Others

    1. Client presentations

    2. Lead and manage less experienced designers

    3. Leading FFE-related initiatives, inventory management, vendor relationships, upkeep of digital sample library

  • We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our team. This role will be based in our Mumbai office and will be responsible for managing multiple projects in sync with the Interior Design team.

     

    The suitable candidate must be a creative and talented designer with strong design flair and passion for interior finishing, fabrics and materials, artwork, furniture and lighting. A minimum of 2 years experience working on luxury high-end residential and hospitality projects is required.

    Software proficiency: Autocad 2D, 3ds Max, Sketchup with Vray, Photoshop, and all basic admin programs.

    Resposibilities

    Design

    1. Undertake rich, deep, fact-based research to develop concepts

    2. Create beautiful mood boards, concept boards and layout plans using InDesign and other Cad softwares

    3. Create beautiful softcopy elevations and material boards, aided by Photoshop

    4. Source & Select materials and creation of physical material boards

    5. Thorough drawings and layouts deigned using Autocad.

    Design Development

    1. Create accurate and detailed civil drawings using Autocad 

    2. Create accurate design elevations using Autocad

    3. Liaise with international and local vendors in sourcing for soft & hard materials 

    4. Liasise with local vendors for samples, materials and finishes.

    Construction Administration

    1. Visit sites for periodic checking of mockups and progress

    2. Liasise with contractors for progress and relay queries to senior designers

    3. Maintain methods of site progress tracking for smooth operations

    4. Take delivery of items at site, to organize unpacking for checking of items on arrival

    5. Place, arrange and style site with all FFE and accessories, in sync with senior team.
